Introduction
- Project Type
- Mountain Residence
Rooted in the landscape. Oriented toward the view.
Overlooking Whitefish Lake, Eagle Rock is conceived as a mountain residence that emerges naturally from its setting. Native stone, exposed timber, and cedar give the home a grounded material presence, while expansive glazing and open interior volumes orient daily life toward the lake and surrounding mountains. Large roof forms and layered material transitions give the architecture a strong presence without separating it from the terrain. The result balances the warmth of Montana's mountain vernacular with a refined contemporary expression.
